    Actually there is someone on Earth who would like to help you with development :)

    I’m the lead programmer at Burton Vision Inc., an educational software for the deaf that runs on Mac and Windows. It uses the write-once-test-anywhere Java language but it also uses the platform limited Quicktime Java API. (Java is really, seriously lacking in any media facilities…)

    Anyway, I’m planning to start building and maintaining a Linux version because I’m a Linux dork and because my laptop runs Linux and I’d like to be able to work on my laptop or my good old SGI. Plus there’s the longshot chance of actually coming across a customer who wants a Linux version ;)

    So I’m thinking of recoding the one class (there’s only one) that uses QTJ so that it can fallback on GStreamer, and for that I’ll need a GStreamer Java Binding!

    I googled GStreamer Java and found this. If you’re serious about working on such a thing, E-Mail me cause I would love to participate.

    I too would be interested in developing this and, if we get going properly, may be able to bring some members of my GLUG along.

    please email me about that (”\u0020me\u0020″.trim() + /* “-at-” + */ “xmart.ws”)
    )
    thx
