Summer of Code indeed :)
Well, my friend and I entered a project application on Google’s Summer Of Code for this thing called CollabEdit. The main idea is to create a programmers editor that enables two or more programmers to collaborate directly. This basically means that they can able to edit the same file in real-time and all can see the changes in real-time. Well, that’s the basic idea anyway. I really hope it gets picked, so we’ll have something fun to do over the summer.
The second thing I’m really excited about is a commercial project I’m going to do with couple of my friends. This could be an opportunity to guarantee a steady “job” for a year or two.
Because of all the fuss around the SoC I decided that I would like to know how to program in as many languages as I can learn. And because I use Emacs as my all-around editor I decided to take a shot with Lisp/elisp/Common Lisp. It’s quite different opposed to other languages I’ve used so far. I’ll try to write about my experience with these different languages, so expect to see some reports about me conquering the languages. :)
