As I’ve rediscovered Digg.com a few days ago this was the first site I found very useful: 100fps.
The whole site (or should I say page) is dedicated to provide human-understandable explanation what is interlacing and how to get rid of it. And because of my father’s latest purchase, Canon MV901, I will probably have to explain that to him, so this is very helpful resource.
Besides that, I’ve rediscovered the show (video podcast) called Diggnation, which is basicaly two guys chatting about most interesting “diggs” of the day. And I was amazed in how many formats you are able to get the show! They have mp3, h264, xvid, theora, wmv and mov, in big and small versions (except mp3)! How great is that!
The show is interesting and funny too, so you should check it out.
I think Theora has some big issues. It creates twice the file size for same resolution and poorer quality when compared to h264. There must be something wrong…
